How to Become a Justice Program Volunteer

Becoming a volunteer with Peacebuilders involves three steps.

Step 1

The first step is to attend one of our information sessions. This will act as our introduction to you, so that you can get to know a bit more about us. The session covers the scope and impact of our work, and the role of our volunteers. It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions, and learn about what we do and how we do it – to determine if Peacebuilders is the right fit for you.

If you wish to attend one of our information sessions, please contact Gowtham at GVijayakumaran@peacebuilders.ca. Details, including location, will be sent to you via email upon registration.

Step 2

The second step is to complete our volunteer application form. This allows us to get to know you better, and start thinking about what areas might be a good fit for you. Once we’ve had the opportunity to get to know each other, the final step in becoming a volunteer with Peacebuilders is to complete training. Our Level One volunteer training is split over two evenings, and will cover the theory and practice behind Peacebuilders core methodology – the Peacebuilding Circle.

If you wish to attend our Level One training sessions, please contact Gowtham at GVijayakumaran@peacebuilders.ca. Details, including location, will be sent to you via email upon registration. Should you encounter any challenges in this process, or have any other issues you would like to address, please contact us. We are happy to assist you in this process, in any way that we can.
